Orange County board of county commissioners hearing - March 26, 2024
Tuesday March 26, 2024 the BCC heard the recommendations of the Planning & Zoning Commission, public comments from about 50 speakers and QA from various commissioners. The Orange County Commissioners and Orange County Mayor voted specifically on whether the applicant had provided everything required for the next step in the official process, which is the request be transmitted to the State of Florida for review. The motion carried 4 to 2.
There will be a future scheduled BCC hearing that will consider the actual request to change the land use of the parcel and to expand the boundary of Hickory Nut Village (OC refers to this village as Village H) to include this property - which, if approved, would make it an official part of Horizon West.
