Horizon West Magazine Recognized at 2025 Charlie Awards

Honored for Excellence in Design and Community Storytelling

We’ve got exciting news to share! Living in Horizon West magazine walked away with not one, but two honors at this year’s prestigious Charlie Awards, presented by the Florida Magazine Association (FMA).

The recognition came during the 2025 Florida Media Conference held July 31–August 1 at the Sunseeker Resort in Charlotte Harbor. The event celebrates excellence in magazine publishing across Florida, honoring editors, writers, designers, photographers and publishers who continue to raise the bar in their fields.

Living in Horizon West magazine received Charlie Awards for Best Custom Publication – Small Consumer and the Best Redesign – Small Consumer. These awards are especially meaningful because they reflect both the quality of the content we create and the fresh look and feel we unveiled with our redesign.

“We are beyond honored to receive recognition among such talented peers in the Florida magazine industry,” said publisher Cynthia Dailey. “Our goal has always been to provide a trusted resource that helps Horizon West residents connect with their community. Being recognized for both our content and our design inspires us to continue raising the standard for our readers.”

Founded in 1953, FMA has grown to become the largest state magazine association in the country. Its annual Charlie Awards competition is considered the ultimate recognition in Florida publishing, highlighting the best work from across the industry.

For us, these awards are more than accolades. They are a reflection of the incredible Horizon West community we serve and a reminder of why we do what we do.

With Gratitude

The award-wining 2025 issue is our eighth. Since its inception, Living in Horizon West has been committed to providing insightful, engaging and informative content that captures the essence of our vibrant community.

The credit goes to our small but mighty team of writers, photographers, designers, community contributors and editors who work tirelessly to bring you stories that reflect the unique character and charm of Horizon West, as well as the practical details you expect from an annual community resource guide.
