Lakeside

Village: Lakeside

5,202 acres - established 1997

Lakeside, Horizon West's first established village, began to take shape in 1997. Many Horizon Westers find their first home here with a mix of luxury apartment homes, townhomes and single-family home communities. When fully developed, there will be up to 8,915 residential units here among the 5,200 acres.

Lakeside currently has the largest variety of commercial offerings in its village center, which is made up of Lakeside Village Center and adjoining Westside Shoppes. Offering a wide variety of national restaurants and Florida-based eateries, this village has an energy that attracts people from all over the world. Lakeside is also popular for its close proximity to Walt Disney World® Resort. In fact, many residents enjoy a fireworks view from their home.

Horizon West is not in the city limits of Winter Garden, Windermere or Orlando. Residents receive their mail through the existing post offices within each of these towns, which is why our mailing addresses include the city name and zip code in it. Horizon West is in unincorporated Orange County so all utility and garbage services are provided by the county - not the city your mailing address includes.
