Inaugural Horizon West Car Fest Cruises into Hamlin
HW Residents Bring Car Enthusiasts Together in Town Center
Horizon West residents and father-and-son team, Eric and Alex Jacky of Orchard Hills are taking their enthusiasm for all things cars and racing and turning it into an opportunity to bring people together!
Eric and Alex are not only the ones behind several auto racing “watch parties” held recently at Home State Brewing Co., but they are also the creators of Horizon West Car Fest – our community’s first-ever official car show!
The inaugural Horizon West Car Fest took place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 on top of the parking garage in the Hamlin area of Horizon West’s Town Center. Horizon West Car Fest welcomed car enthusiasts to bring their vehicles out to show them off to attendees of all ages. All makes, models and years were invited, which resulted in a variety of vehicles from antiques to classics to exotics and much more!

The event was sponsored by JSI European Specialist, Bryan Fifer State Farm Insurance Agency, Ford’s Garage and Home State Brewing Co., which all had a presence at the event alongside other vendors offering auto-related products and services as well community resources like us - Horizon West Happenings!
Grown ups weren't the only ones having fun because kids were invited to show off their mini Lambos and other adorable electric-powered, kid-sized rides, too.
Horizon West Cornhole club was also on site holding their monthly tournament concurrently with Horizon West Car Fest. They offered up extra bags and boards to invite new friends to join in on the fun! This competitive but friendly group meets regularly in Horizon West for weeknight play and larger monthly match ups. Unfortunately, the Florida weather caused Horizon West Car Fest to wrap up earlier than planned, but the turnout was fantastic for the first-time event. Eric is already working on plans to repeat the event regularly to provide more opportunities for local car aficionados to get together and share the things they love with neighbors, friends and the community at large!
