Healthy in Horizon West Expo Turned a Rainy Morning into a Wellness Win
A Crowd of Wellness Warriors Made this First-ever Event an Unforgettable Celebration of Health and Wellness
On Saturday, May 31, Horizon West Magazine proudly launched its inaugural Healthy in Horizon West Expo — and what a day it turned out to be!
Even with a soggy start, vendors and visitors showed up in full force, proving that not even rain can dampen the spirit of a community on a mission to live well.
As the skies cleared, a refreshing breeze swept in, setting the perfect scene for a vibrant morning of learning, connecting, and celebrating all things health and happiness. With more than 40 local wellness vendors offering everything from fitness tips to holistic healing, there was something to inspire every body, mind and spirit.
What Made the Day Such a Hit:
🌟 Big Giveaways & Bigger Wins: Vendors hosted high-value contests and raffles, giving away prizes valued at $100+ and generating a lot of buzz (and a little friendly competition) across the plaza.

Healthy in Horizon West Bingo: Attendees grabbed bingo cards from the Horizon West Magazine booth and met vendors to mark off squares. When completed, they turned in their cards for a shot at one of
two mega prize baskets — each worth more than
$1,000 thanks to the generosity of participating and sponsoring businesses.

🩸 The OneBlood Bus Rolled In: Guests had the chance to give back in a big way by donating blood. Generous donors turned good vibes into life-saving action!

Family Fun All Around: From bounce houses to the Fun Bus and a fire truck on display, the day kept kids smiling and families engaged from start to finish.

Real Learning, Real Impact: We heard from so many attendees that they left the event having learned something new — and feeling more empowered than ever to take charge of their wellness journey.
Of course, none of it would’ve been possible without the incredible partnership and enthusiasm of our exhibitors who helped make the entire vision come to life as well as the business residents of the Shaddock Drive plaza who lent us their space as kind hosts. Building on the momentum of this amazing day, Horizon West Magazine is proud to introduce Healthy in Horizon West magazine, a new, annual publication filled with inspiring stories, tips and local wellness resources.
