Two Popular Horizon West Establishments Create Healthy Ways to Socialize

Connecting with local, like-minded people builds community, strengthens our hometown pride, and in the case of two new local running clubs, makes staying healthy a lot more fun! Two popular Horizon West hangouts are serving up opportunities for connection in addition to their tasty brews and eats!

Home State Run Club

Donning shirts with sayings like "Will Run for Beer" and "Beer Run," the spirited and friendly Home State Run Club set out on its first group run on February 28th. Weekly runs take place Mondays at 6:30PM. All paces are welcome from walkers to elite runners for a 45-minute loop that begins and ends at the newly opened Home State Brewing Co. in the Hamlin area of Town Center. Afterwards, runners stick around to socialize and enjoy a 15% discount on specific Home State Brewery brews.

Loop Cafe Run Club

On March 1st, the Loop Cafe Run Club brought the mood-and health-boosting benefits of running to the trails of Bridgewater Village in the Summerport area! This group runs together on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 6PM from local favorite, Loop Cafe. While welcoming all levels and encouraging those with no running experience to join, runners are led and encouraged by professional athlete and seven-time Walt Disney World Marathon winner, Fredison Costa!

Runners should check in at Loop by 5:30-5:45PM. That's a great time to grab a juice or healthy snack before the workout. Stretching, socializing and warm up begins at 6PM, and the group run follows.
