New Adventure Park Offers Unique Family Fun to Hamlin!

Town Center is now a focal point of family fun in Horizon West. Urban Air Adventure Park Orlando (Hamlin) has opened its doors and is brought high-energy fun unlike anything else in the area.

If you haven’t taken a good look, you might not realize how big the facility is. Located just south of Publix on Hamlin Groves Trail Urban Air is a whopping 60,000 square feet of award winning, year-round indoor amusements and attractions, including Go-Karts, a zip-line-like experience, virtual reality and lots more.

The attractions are impressive. There’s something for everyone with activities accessible to any level of adventurer — from small kids to adults who are kids are heart.

Achieving a solid variety of high caliber experiences in this new location is no accident. Urban Air is largest adventure park operator in the world with nearly 300 locations open or under development.

Unique Attractions

3…2…1…Go-Kart! Fulfill your need for speed and put your driving skills to the test on the indoor, two-story go-kart track. Available in single or double rider karts, these vehicles are all electric, so there are no fumes or loud engines to slow your fun. And they self-charge while in the queue, eliminating the need to pull karts off the track and keeping the lines moving at top speed.

Thrill seekers are going to be flocking to the Sky Rider — a zip line-like experience that takes exhilaration to new heights as you soar through the air high above the ground over friends, family, and a bustling arcade! And it’s not just for kids. This attraction is open to adults up to 250 lbs.

Ever heard of bumper cars that flip? Neither had we! The Flip Zone Bumper Cars are not only used for playfully bumping around the arena, but they can spin and flip in surprising and dizzying ways. It’s sure to be an experience unlike anything else!

And these experiences are just the beginning of what you can expect from the indoor adventure park. Here’s the full list of opening day attractions:

Go-Karts

Single and Double Electric Go Karts allow you to enjoy some friendly competition as you race your friends and other UrbanAir adventurers or on a two story track that featuring twists and turns to challenge your reflexes and keep you on your toes.
Sky Rider

The zip line-like experience, Sky Rider, offers a whole new perspective as you zip through the air on this high-flying adventure. Feel like a giant, as you zigzag overhead and scout out all the other attractions for your next adventure.
SPREE Virtual Reality

Gather your friends and prepare for an adventure in an all-new reality! Fight robots and dragons, or sling snowballs and collect coins. Try to beat your own high score, fight against your friends, or join up for the greatest team this universe has ever seen. How ever you play, this high-end simulation is easy to learn, making it suitable for gamers of all ages and experience levels.
DropZone

Looking to jump, practice some epic flips or pull off a 360? It’s always great to practice when you have a giant, inflatable airbag to land on. The Drop Zone gives you the extra confidence you need to go for that big trick.
Runway Tumble Track

Calling all gymnasts, dancers, cheerleaders, and aspiring ninjas: it’s tumble time! Jump, twist, and flip your way down The Runway! Great for the adventurers who want to put in a little extra practice before their next competition, or for the youngest of our visitors to try out tumbling before committing to a team.
Wipeout

The mission is simple: be the last person standing in this fun and hilarious competition. You and your friends can battle to see who survives the longest as a cushioned bar swings around an enclosed area. Your mission is to jump, duck or do whatever it takes to avoid being struck by the bar.
Flip Zone Bumper Cars

When bumper cars spin and flip you’re in for maximum thrills. These cars move around our arena, spin and flip. You’ll have so much fun turning, twirling and whirling, you just might forget which way is up.
Spin Zone Bumper Cars

Trade paint with your friends as you whirl around in our battle of the bumpers. Bumper-to-bumper traffic? No problem! Spin and whirl around, lock onto your target and ram your bumper cars together for the ultimate rush of adrenaline.
Ropes Course

Get some extra hang time with the next-level obstacles on the Urban Air ropes course. Weave, climb and race your way around this high-flying obstacle course. Climb and swing through the air like a superhero as you race to finish the course.
Climbing Walls

Climbing one of the climbing walls is a great way to build strength, agility, and confidence – all with the safety of a harness. Climbing walls vary in difficulty from beginner to challenging so you can choose your own level.
Climbing Hill

Ready to climb, but not quite ready for the wall? Try out your scrambling skills on the mini-mountain. Practice your climbing technique, get used to the climbing holds, and reach the summit. Then the real reward – a fun slide to the bottom.
ProZone Performance Trampolines

These specialized trampolines allow you to jump higher and stay in the air longer. You’re never limited to the ground with ProZone Performance Trampolines either. The wall-mounted trampolines bring a whole new dimension to your gravity-defying fun. Fly through the air, practice your flips, and literally bounce off the walls with your friends!
Tubes Playground

Playground or obstacle course? You decide. Climb up platforms, crawl through tunnels, and zip down. Exclusively for racers and explorers under 52 inches who want to take on the challenge of this towering maze of fun.
Battle Beam

Balance and friendly competition combined with a foam pit to catch your fall. Put your balance to the test, grab a foam bar and go to battle to try to knock your friend into the foam pit before you fall. We will warn you, most of the time you’ll both end up in the foam pit.
Warrior Course

Do you have what it takes to complete the Warrior Course? You’ve watched those warrior ninjas from your living room. Now’s your chance to try it for yourself. Blitz through all the obstacles you love watching on TV and test your speed, strength, and agility. Uneven platforms, tilted walls, hanging rings…and a ball pit to cushion all your falls.
The APEX Trampolines

Calling all gymnasts, dancers, parkour athletes, cheerleaders, and anyone who wants to try something new in a fun environment. The APEX Trampolines offer a springy place to work on your moves and perfect your technique. But you don’t have to be an athlete or have fancy tricks, all you need is a little bounce. Jump high, jump low and jump on the walls for a flying good time!
Dodgeball

The game that everyone can enjoy gets a bouncy makeover at Urban Air. They’ve added their signature trampolines to the dodgeball arena to make this a fun, bouncy activity. Bring your team or gather some new friends to start a game.
Slam Dunk Zone

Have you ever wanted to dunk like the all-stars? Now you can catch some big air and win all the points in our Slam Dunk Zone. Trampolines and basketball are the perfect, gravity-defying match.
Arcade

Need a break from jumping, running, and soaring? Rest up and keep the excitement going in the Arcade. The wide selection of arcade games offers fun for puzzle solvers, racers, defenders and fantasy lovers. Adults love the Arcade too. With classic games, you can enjoy a blast from the past while new games challenge your video game skills.

Tickets & Memberships

Tickets are for all-day play! There will be three levels of admission (Platinum, Ultimate and Deluxe) each offering access to different attractions. Admission prices have not yet been released, but their structure will be similar to that of other Urban Air locations. All tickets, even the highest level of access, will be under $50 for play all day.

Urban Air believes in the importance of parents and children being able to play together, so they offer “Parents Tickets” at a substantial 50% discount when a regular ticket is purchased for a child. A special 5 & Under ticket is also available at a reduced price.

What we central Floridians generally know as an “annual pass” is called Membership at Urban Air. These, too, will have three levels that mirror the daily ticket structure.

Both tickets and memberships are available for purchase online and at the door. Urban Air will be open seven days a week.

Café, Parties and Events

All the action at Urban Air is bound to make you work up an appetite. That’s where the café comes in. Serving crowd favorites like pizza, wings, nachos, pretzels and sweet treats like ICEE and mini-melts, the café area offers a respite to catch your breath and refuel away from the action.

Celebrating a birthday? Urban Air has everything you need to throw a perfect party for your little one, tween or teen, including the food and decorations. An Urban Air Party Pro will guide you through choosing the right level of attractions, the perfect space for your group, and even help you with the invites.

The party doesn’t stop at birthdays. If you’re looking for a place to host a corporate team building, field trip, or other personal celebrations, check out Urban Air. With eight party rooms and ten party tables, they can accommodate groups of all sizes. Complete park buyouts are also available for private events. Birthday and private parties won’t be immediately available in Hamlin, but they are coming.

Stay tuned for regularly scheduled special events, too. Parent’s Night Out is a win-win for parents and kids. Drop the kids off so they can play on award-winning attractions while Mom and Dad get a much-needed night out. Jumperoo is a special time where the park is open only for children 5 & under.

A Strong Foundation in Community

The owners and operators of Urban Air Hamlin already have strong ties to the local community. Owners Harold Mills and Kent Cisewski are very well known for their many accomplishments and contributions in Central Florida and beyond.

“We are honored to bring Urban Air Orlando (Hamlin) to our own backyard of Central Florida,” said Kent Cisewski. “With the success of our park in Waukesha, Wisconsin, we just knew we had to let our Orlando neighbors enjoy the unique mix of attractions that Urban Air offers. With thrills ranging from go-karts to virtual reality, climbing walls, and trampolines, it’s a choice pick even in the midst of Orlando’s world-famous theme parks, but with a local flair that can’t be beat.”

Sales and Marketing Manager Joseph Marrero has lived in Orlando his entire life! Now as a Horizon West resident in the Seidel Village area, he enjoys being an involved community member. Many will recognize him as a father of three who served for two years as the very first PTO President at Summerlake Elementary when it first opened its doors.

Joseph says he has “high hopes that Urban Air will become a community destination for Horizon Westers — a place where families can meet up with neighbors and friends that feels like their very own local gathering spot.”
