Apartment-style Stays Make Their Way to Horizon West

A Smart Solution for HW Visitors and Future Residents
Horizon West’s rapid growth and proximity to Walt Disney World is attracting an exciting new hotel concept slated for development within Hamlin Town Center.
According to Orlando Business Journal, initial permits were filed with Orange County in September of 2024 for the construction of LivSmart Studios, a four-story, 124-room extended-stay hotel concept spearheaded by hotel giant Hilton Hotels.
Hilton's extended-stay concept blends the comfort of residential living with the benefits of classic hotel amenities. Fully decked-out fitness centers, communal fire pits and grilling stations make LivSmart Studios an ideal choice for visitors to Central Florida, but also to visiting family of Horizon West residents, as well as those looking to become part of the Horizon West community.
With unique apartment-style hotel spaces designed for 20-night stays or more, Hilton’s LivSmart Studios provide a creative solution for Horizon Westers looking to host visiting family and friends for extended periods of time.
The project hopes to also provide a comfortable home-like alternative for future Horizon Westers whose houses are still in the development process, creating a firsthand community experience for future Horizon West residents that goes beyond the perks of a traditional hotel.
The new LivSmart Studios project would convert a 7.1-acre site near the intersection of New Independence Parkway and Hamlin Groves Trail within Hamlin Town Center into an extended-stay village, just west of The Lodge at Hamlin apartments.
Horizon West on the Rise
Lifestyle trend reporters say the timing of the LivSmart Studios development aligns with the Horizon West’s exceptional growth pattern, where housing demand continues to outpace supply as the hospitality market steadily expands.
According to the Orlando Business Journal, a July report from Yardi subsidiary StorageCafe showed that Horizon West is one of the fastest-growing communities in the nation, boasting a whopping 234% increase in housing demands over a ten-year study period.
While no construction completion date has been set for LivSmart Studios, the proposed group of hotels would join Hamlin’s broader 3,624-acre Town Center development, one of the defining centers of Horizon West’s rapid expansion. As the LivSmart Studios project develops, it marks a huge milestone in Horizon West’s evolution into a fully realized regional destination within Central Florida.
