Meet The Aridas Team!

Horizon West Happenings • February 22, 2021

Carmen and Larry Aridas are not just realtors; they’re your neighbors!

The Aridas Team lives, works and plays right here in Horizon West. Their 30 years of experience in the industry and familiarity with the local market make them a dynamic team. Your family is their priority. Carmen and Larry believe in offering the same level of service to their clients that they would to their own family members and have supported families just like yours in fulfilling their home ownership dreams.

We sat down with Larry Aridas to learn more about who they are, why they do what they do and how they've managed to help home buyers and sellers navigate one of the hottest real estate markets in the nation!

So who exactly is The Aridas Team?

Our family has been in the Real Estate Industry for nearly 30 years. Our team includes our entire family. Our kids grew up alongside us- involved in the family business and are now an integral part of our team. Our daughter, Catalina, is our administrative assistant and our son Michael is a realtor operating as our buyer’s representative and our marketing guru. He is responsible for bringing us into the 21st century with social media! If I had it my way, I’d still be writing contracts by hand, but Michael keeps us young.

We take a consultative, client focus to ensure that our sellers are receiving maximum value for their homes and that our buyers end up in the home of their dreams.

How did your family make its way into this industry?

I started out as my wife’s assistant! Carmen decided to go into real estate because she felt like it was a great way to continue to be a full-time mom with a flexible career. My career at the time was in hospitality like many other Central Floridians. My job often meant working nights and being away from my family. Together we decided to turn this dream into a team effort and so began The Aridas Team. This was back in the early 90’s, long before social media. Carmen would go door to door, building relationships with people as she went. The value of that connection became the foundation of our business. As the kids got older, they naturally became part of what we did every day.

We truly are a real estate family. Because we grew into this industry as a family, we were able to see things from the perspective of the buyers and sellers in a unique way. We understood how important these decisions are to the people making them. We built our business with a “family-first” focus to ensure that our clients could trust us with one of the biggest decisions of their lives.

What inspired you to start your business?

Our business was started out of a desire for us to not only have control of our professional lives but to enable our clients to improve their personal and family lives through moving into the home of their dreams, or perhaps even selling their family home to make new memories!

We are most passionate about the experience at the closing table. When our sellers know they’ve sold their home for top dollar, or to a growing a family, or our buyers purchasing their dream home, the experience of knowing we’ve helped someone is something that we will always be passionate about.

What makes you different from other realtors?

We always say we talk more people OUT of buying houses than into buying them. We put our clients first 100% of the time, and we do NOT make decisions for our clients, nor do we force them into a position because we need a closing/pay day.

We have built a business based on meeting our client’s needs, not lining our pockets. Our uniqueness is the Aridas team. It’s who we are, not what we do. It is our family.

Why did you decide to focus in Horizon West?

Having moved into Horizon West ourselves, it was a natural fit to expand our business into a community that we love and believe in enough to make our own home. We saw such a great opportunity to be within a community that is part of something new and planned and focused on an old style hometown feel. You can sit on your front porch and meet your neighbors. We really like that.

We believe in the master plan and are taking advantage of the lifestyle. I'm a marathon runner so the biking and running trails are important to me.

Carmen and Larry Aridas of The Aridas Team are Horizon West residents and realtors who have assisted hundreds of families in the sale or purchase of a home.

They are RE/MAX Hall of Famers and RE/MAX Circle of Legends recipients and stand out among their peers for their experience, integrity and customer service. That's what makes them unique AND successful!

If you're looking for help with your property or want to find your dream home, this dream team is exactly who you're looking for.
