Springtime Afternoon Tea at Four Seasons Resort Orlando: An Elegant Escape Mere Minutes from Horizon West

Savor the Season in Style with Delicious Teas and Delightful Treats

Just a short drive—literally minutes—from our homes in Horizon West, there’s a world of easy luxury and memorable experiences waiting to be enjoyed. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort, a AAA Five Diamond property, is inviting locals to take part in one of its most charming seasonal events: Spring in Bloom Afternoon Tea at Ravello.

This lovely experience brings together all the charm of a traditional afternoon tea with the polish only the Four Seasons can offer. It’s the kind of outing that feels like a vacation, no travel required. If you’ve been needing a reason to slow down and treat yourself to something special (and close to home), this is it.

Garden Vibes and Golden Touches

Set inside Ravello, the resort’s modern Italian restaurant, the Spring in Bloom Afternoon Tea is as beautiful as it is delicious.

Guests are seated in a bright, sun-filled space that overlooks the gardens. On our visit, the large windows were opened wide to let in a soft spring breeze that set the mood perfectly.

Live acoustic guitar music played gentle covers of familiar tunes, adding to the relaxing, feel-good vibe. Oversized decorative blooms and a picture-perfect bouquet station gave everything a playful, photo-worthy flair.

Little touches, like personalized place cards, linen napkins, elegant table settings and individual menus, make the whole thing feel extra thoughtful and special.

A Taste of Spring, Served in Style

As soon as you're seated, you're welcomed with a glass of prosecco and a sampling of six fragrant loose-leaf teas to enjoy the aroma of before making your selection.

The Wild Strawberry tea was a favorite—light, a little floral, and almost candy-like in its aroma. Each guest receives their own teapot, so everyone gets exactly what they like. Want to try another later on? Just ask.

Food is served in two rounds, both on pretty birdcage-style trays that are just begging for an Instagram moment. First comes a lineup of savory bites, high-tea-style, each one more delightful than the last.

Highlights include:

  • Elena Ruiz Strawberry Sandwich – Roasted turkey, whipped cream cheese, strawberry preserves and fresh strawberries
  • Smoked Salmon Tartlet – Delicately topped with mousse, chives and caviar
  • Muffaletta Sandwich – A New Orleans nod with olive mix, basil pesto and mortadella on focaccia
  • Black Bean Cake – A spicy-sweet combo with jalapeños and cilantro crema

They were all delicious, but the strawberry sandwich was the hands-down winner—sweet, soft and totally unexpected. It was the perfect bite of spring.

If you have dietary restrictions, you’re in good hands. Four Seasons staff were attentive and kind, checking on details and offering beautifully modified versions of each dish for gluten-free guests. The GF version of the strawberry sandwich, for example, came on soft, house-made bread, and the salmon was served in a crisp endive leaf. Thoughtful, safe and still full of flavor.

The Dessert Display: Tiny Works of Art (You Can Eat)

Round two is all about the sweets, and this is where things really shine. The servers brought out fresh birdcage trays—this time filled with delicate desserts that looked almost too pretty to eat.

That’s when the phones came out and the table lit up with audible ooohs and ahhhs.

The standard dessert spread includes:

  • Buttermilk Scones with whipped cream and raspberry jam
  • Violet & Cassis Macaron
  • Strawberry Choux
  • Lemon Mini Tart
  • Chocolate Petit Gateaux

Each one was a tiny masterpiece. They were light, flavorful and just the right size to enjoy without feeling over-the-top.

Guests avoiding gluten were treated to a gorgeous alternative: a bowl of fresh berries, berry sorbet and colorful macarons, all thoughtfully plated and every bit as satisfying.

A Blooming Finale

Just when you think the afternoon can’t get any lovelier, there’s a final surprise: a build-your-own bouquet station. Guests can choose from a selection of fresh, seasonal flowers to create a small arrangement to take home—a sweet little reminder of the day.

The setup, complete with neon marquee, oversized floral and vibrant fresh flowers, was just as photogenic as it was fun.
