Hamlin’s Home State Brewing Leads Central Florida’s Next Big Collaboration Beer
Multiple Orange County Brew Crews Team Up for a Citrus-Inspired Florida Pilsner Debuting at Orlando Beer Week 2026
Central Florida breweries are collaborating on a new beer fermenting right now at Horizon West’s Home State Brewing Co. The still-unnamed craft pour will release in January as part of Orlando Beer Week 2026, January 24-31, with breweries, bars, and craft beer fans celebrating the region’s thriving beer scene.
About the 2026 Mega Collab Brew
“We’re calling it a Florida pilsner, a lot of orange,” says Home State’s director of brewery operations, Tyler Rosenberg. “The goal is to be a hoppy, creamsicle vibe, but not really sweet necessarily.”
For beer lovers who get granular, that means the fermentation tank is spiked with Mandarina Bavaria hops (notes of traditional pine and the more exotic tangerine and citrus) as well as an experimental hop variety called Dolcita with layers of coconut, caramelized banana, peaches and melon.
Rosenberg is also adding sweet orange peel in the conditioning phase, after most fermentation is done.
Participating Orange County breweries traded ideas for the 2026 Mega Collab Brew, but as this year’s host brewery, Home State has the most say. On brew day, the other brewers stopped in for support and camaraderie.

Brewing Up Community
“We are all so closely connected and it’s nice to get to talk to everyone” says Andrew Cochie from Bowigens Beer Company. “We know we all love what we do.”
Three Odd Guys Brewing’s Brad Pascarella added, “It’s a brotherhood and sisterhood. We all want to help each other out and put out the word for everybody because that’s how we survive.”
January 2026 will mark four years for Home State Brewing’s Hamlin taproom, and Rosenberg says the craft beer demographic is strong around Horizon West. “Everyone knows their stuff and even the people who don’t are more than willing to try new things, he says. “We don’t get as many people who ask, ‘What’s the closest thing to Bud Light?’ They already know an American lager or a kölsch is what they’re looking for.”
Where to Get the New Brew
In January 2026, look for the limited-edition cans of the Mega Collab Brew at shops around Central Florida with the logo of each participating brewery on the label.
The brew will also be available on tap at Home State Brewing Co..
Other Orlando Beer Week events include a kickoff at the new À La Cart location in downtown Orlando, more beer releases, tap takeovers from visiting breweries around the country, and the annual table tennis tournament at Home State among breweries on January 31, 2026.
